Griffith University - Riparian Irrigation System

Quote submitted Q3, 2017 for design, installation and commissioning of a drip irrigation system capable of supplying consistent flow rates to planted flora (168 cells located at the Nathan Campus).

Scope of works and proposed solutions are as follows;

SCOPE

Design and installation of a grid independent and reliable irrigation system capable of supplying the same amount of water per cell per day.

Solution

Hunter NODE battery operated valve, 25 psi PRV, 25mm main line and 4mm pressure compensated drippers on 4mm flexible lines to each cell.

Performance

A measured 4 litres per hour per dripper at the start, end and 10 randomly selected fittings, confirmation of manual and programmed valve operations. AXIS is now a registered supplier for Griffith University and is bidding on other packages of work.

Extra slack was allowed for to permit re-positioning of the frames (frames designed/supplied by others) and to ensure no drop in flow throughout system.
